Set up for Success

It takes a lot more than just watering to keep your succulents in tip-top health! That’s why this module starts from the beginning, explaining how to choose the variety of succulent that’ll grow best in your specific environment and circumstances. You’ll also learn when to buy certain succulents online – and which ones are better to purchase locally.

You’ll also learn about the many ways in which soil impacts the health of your succulents. Find out why some soils are perfect for succulent health, while other popular types can make them sick. I’ll even five you a hands-on demonstration showing exactly how soil affects succulent health.

We’ll also dig into my other great love – pottery! You’ll learn why some types of pots are better than others for healthy succulent growth, and how to choose the right pots for your area and climate.

Once we’ve got all the right supplies picked out, I’ll show you how to plant your succulents in the best way possible. We’ll walk step-by-step through the planning process -which is actually really simple once you see it in action. I’ll even give you some of my own tips for keeping your fingers and hands safe while planting cacti!

Finally, I’ll show you how to choose the right home for your newly planted succulent. You’ll learn how to make sure they get the right amount of light, the right temperature, and the perfect environment for healthy growth, both indoors and out.

Watering succulents

Did you know that most succulent growers kill their plants with kindness? Too much water can make succulents sick – but when you water plants on the right schedule with the right amount of food, you’ll see the difference in days.

In this module, I’ll show you how to diagnose problems that arise from too much or too little water – while there’s still time to save your succulents. You’ll learn the early warning signs of an over-or-under-watered plant, and see examples of seriously struggling succulents, too.

By the time we’re done, you’ll be genius at keeping your succulents healthy!

Continue to grow

You’ve done an amazing job growing healthy, happy succulents. In fact, they’re growing up into very different-looking plants from the ones you originally brought home. They’re getting bigger, changing color, stretching out – and maybe even starting to bloom!

This module goes in depth about all those changes and more. you’ll learn how to adapt your care to the changing needs of your growing succulents, to make sure they stay healthy over time. Plus, you’ll learn what to do if you ever have to deal with nasty plagues like mealybugs, gnats, or scale.

Once you’ve finished this module, you’ll be a succulent health expert, ready to care for your plants throughout all the seasons of their lives!

What the fans are saying

Now that my husband and I are retired and traveling more often and for more days per trip, the “regular” houseplants I had were not happy.   I thought cacti and succulents might be just the ticket, but knew next to nothing about their care. Successfully Growing Succulents to the rescue! Without a huge investment of my time–and in the comfort of my own home–I learned so much: where to purchase them, how to plant them, how to care for them, etc.

“What is the opposite of a green thumb? That’s what I have. Before Cassidy’s course, getting a succulent was just a waiting game. I’d watch (and water) as it turned from plump and green, to parched and pale, to moldy with dried up stems sticking out. After learning Cassidy’s watering technique, I’m happy to say I’ve kept a succulent alive for 4 months. It’s even growing! Now I would never try to grow a succulent without Cassidy’s advice!”

“I am so glad that I signed up for this course. I immediately learned a better way to plant succulents in arrangements. I find that the video makes it easier to learn and I have the video playing as I am working with the plants. All the different topics in one place saves time and money. Also the new added segments are just what I wanted. Being able to identify the different plants is great.”

“I’m so glad I found your course.  You have an easy going straight forward approach to your lectures that I really enjoy.  I’ve always enjoyed plants and gardens but was never good at keeping them alive.  Your course has given me the confidence to proceed with my succulent addiction, I feel like I know what to do to successfully grow succulents!”

Wondering Who I Am?

Let me introduce myself… My name is Cassidy Tuttle and I’m a professional photographer turned succulent addict. These are my two sweet children and wonderful husband in the photo with me!

My adventure with succulents started with three small plants on a window sill of my basement apartment. Within a year I had propagated them and purchased more, totaling over 100 plants!

It’s been a fun adventure since then as I’ve drowned, burned, frozen, and starved my collection of succulents. This site is where I teach you how to avoid all those mistakes I made or help you recover from them.

While I’ve killed plenty of succulents in the past few years, I’ve also kept hundreds alive and thriving, and I know you can do the same!
